Burns & Pain
A 17-year-old girl sustained a burn on her left forearm. The burn was treated by excision. The patient developed toxic shock syndrome. The surgical site was infected with Staphylococcus Aureus. The wound was opened on the third post-operative day. The wound was left open, treated with a bioelectric dressing, and completely healed on day 56.
